Who's birthday is it anyway???

Happy Birthday Mommy and Uncle Tom! We recently celebrated the April Birthdays and Addison decided it was her Birthday again and she was sure she was supposed to blow out the candles. Maybe she knew she was supposed to be born in April...she'd better not use that excuse for an extra party every year!:)

Recipe for disaster & then hopefully success!

Okay...so you start with months of serious morning sickness, add months of limited activity per OBs orders, and add months of exhaustion due to a newborn and a toddler = OUT OF SHAPE! So we have decided to get back into shape as a family and teach our girls, by example, about living a healthy lifestyle. (as well as mom & dad losing some of the extra weight gained over the past year).
To start us off, Addison and I signed up for some exercise classes. Addison started her mommy & me gymnastics class this week and loved it! How cute to see a bunch of 2and 3 year olds walking the balance beam, attempting somersaults, and following(or not following) directions with a variety of activities around the gym. Addison now finds anything she can to jump off of and says "Ta Da" with her hands in the air. I can't wait to post some of those class pictures later! And I started my BodyCombat Kickboxing class and also loved it! Although it totally kicked my butt and I thought I was going to throw-up by the end of class, I kept up with it and am excited to go back! (no, I won't post pictures of that:) Well, at least it's a start to getting back in shape.

We're back to blogging!

It's been a while since our last blog, but we're back! It seems I've found life to be a bit busier with 2 kids and harder to get to the computer. So now that they both take a nap at the same time(usually), I'm hoping to blog a bit more frequently.

Life has been good to us. Kennedy was born on Dec 18 and is really starting to interact with mom, dad and big sister. She seems to always be smiling and cooing and is just a very happy & content baby. Addison just turned two and is turning more and more into a little girl everyday. She loves to talk, talk, talk, sing, and dance. She already knows so many songs. It's fun to listen to her sing at church, she totally gets into it!

We're also looking forward to spending many days outside in the new neighborhood and meeting new friends. It's so nice being in a new development with so many kids and friendly parents. We've already had playgroups, poker night, progressive cocktail parties, and so much more is scheduled on the calendar. It was a busy winter with the new babe, holidays, and the move, but so worth it!

Jason has been busy at Prein and Newhoff, but is looking forward to a little golf , flyfishing, and heading up to the cottage in his spare time.(If there is any after working all day and spending quality time with his girls!) I have enjoyed being able to stay home with the girls, but look forward to the shifts I pick up at the hospital to work a few hours and just get out of the house for a while. I'm also looking forward to trips to the zoo, the parks, and the beach with the girls and warm evenings dining on an outdoor patio somewhere with my husband. (and of course enjoying a fun & fruity cocktail!)

Well, that's the last few months in a nut shell. Life has been good to us and we have been blessed! I'll keep you posted on upcoming summer events!
